Privacy Policy

Clarifeed is a product of RAVIA OPS LIMITED, a company registered in Ireland (Company Registration Number 812946), with its registered office at Deer Park Hotel, Howth, D13 T8K1, Dublin, Ireland. For the purposes of EU data protection law, RAVIA OPS LIMITED is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: privacy@clarifeed.com.

Account data

• Email address — to create your account, send you important service emails, and identify you
• Display name — shown in the app interface
• Engagement preferences (default engagement type, hourly rate, tone preference) — to personalise your experience

Project and scope data

• Project names, client names, engagement types — to organise your work in the app
• Scope documents you generate — stored so you can access them across sessions and build your project history
• Scope change logs — to build your paper trail and power engagement intelligence
• Project descriptions you enter when generating documents— these are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your scope document

Payment data

Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. Clarifeed never sees or stores your card details. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Usage data

• IP address — used for anonymous generation rate limiting (1 free generation per 24 hours per IP). Not stored permanently.
• Anonymous session ID — generated in your browser (localStorage) for anonymous users. Expires after 24 hours.
• How you heard about Clarifeed — collected during onboarding, used to understand our marketing effectiveness

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — page views and referral sources, not individual identities. It only loads after you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set.

• To provide the Clarifeed service
• To generate scope documents using AI (content sent to Anthropic's API — see third-party services below)
• To send you transactional emails (welcome, trial ending, password reset) via Resend
• To process your subscription via Stripe
• To generate engagement intelligence and benchmark data (your data contributes anonymously to benchmarks unless you opt out in Settings → Data & Privacy)
• To improve the product

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy.

Supabase (database and authentication)

• Your data is stored in Supabase's EU (Frankfurt) region
• Privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy

Stripe (payments)

• Stripe processes all payments. We never see your card details.
• Stripe is based in the US. Data transfer is covered by Stripe's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Anthropic (AI generation)

• When you generate a scope document or log a scope change, the content you enter is sent to Anthropic's API to generate your document.
• Anthropic is based in the US. Data transfer is covered by Anthropic's data processing agreement.
• Anthropic's API does not use your content to train models by default. See: anthropic.com/privacy

Vercel (hosting)

• Clarifeed is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure.

Resend (email)

• Transactional emails are sent via Resend.

Google Analytics 4 (analytics)

• Aggregate traffic analytics. Loaded only after you accept analytics cookies — you can decline in the consent banner.
• Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

• Encryption in transit — all traffic to and from Clarifeed is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS).
• Encryption at rest— your data is encrypted at rest in Supabase's managed Postgres database.
• EU data residency— your account and project data is stored in Supabase's EU (Frankfurt) region.
• Access controls — row-level security means you can only access your own data, and staff access to production data is restricted and logged.

No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry-standard practices to protect your data, and we'll notify affected users without undue delay if a breach ever affects personal data.

• Account data: retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion
• Project and scope data: retained while your account is active. Exported and then deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
• Anonymous documents: automatically deleted after 24 hours
• Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by Irish tax law

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data (Settings → Danger Zone)
• Export your data (Settings → Data & Privacy → Export data)
• Object to processing for analytics (opt out of benchmark contribution in Settings → Data & Privacy)
• Lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie)

We use the following cookies:

• Authentication session cookie (essential — required to keep you logged in)
• Stripe cookies (required for payment processing)
• Google Analytics cookies (optional — only set if you accept analytics cookies)

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. See the Cookie policy for the full list.

Clarifeed is a professional tool intended for working adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, email privacy@clarifeed.com and we will delete it.

We'll notify you by email if we make material changes to this policy. Continued use of Clarifeed after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
